Since I love planning and decorating for celebrations, my best friend’s sister (MOH) let me and another bridesmaid help plan and decorate our fav bride-to-be’s bachelorette weekend. So for all of those Maids of Honor and bridesmaids who aren’t a big fan of planning and being organized, hopefully this guide will help you! Especially if your bride chose the same location we did. If you didn’t read the first post be sure to catch up here!

Sarah picked the location of her bachelorette weekend (Folly Beach/Charleston) and the flamingo theme with “The Last [flamin] before she [go]es!”, everything else was left in our hands! So let me first set the stage and tell you that the whole weekend was also themed to be like the show The Bachelor/ette and she received ‘date cards’ to tell her to get ready for  certain events.

Sunday: Yoga + Beach

Sarah woke up to another date card during breakfast and our second huge surprise for the weekend was a beach yoga session with Serenity Tree Yoga. If you have time, I totally recommend their company, they specialize in bachelorette yoga session and it’s totally relaxing and helpful for your bride to relieve some stress and before the whirlwind of the wedding week begins.

After yoga we spent the day on the beach getting our tan on, except one of the bridesmaids who had gotten sun burnt from the day before she spent the day wrapped up in towels. If you’ve never been to Folly Beach like I hadn’t, it’s best to go a few blocks away from the pier to go out on the beach, the street parking is cheaper and it’s 10 times less crowded!

One more date card this afternoon telling Sarah to get ready for a shower, this night was so much fun as we showered our bride-to-be with personalized gifts with her new monogram. What southern bride doesn’t love all the things with her new monogram on it?! We played more games and laughed till some of us cried!

Monday: Brunch To Go

We didn’t want to leave! It had been such a fun weekend full of surprises, laughter and maybe a little bit of happy tears. We took one last pit stop on the way out of town at a brunch spot, Toast. Talk about delicious. You definitely have to go there at least once in your life! We all chatted over pancakes, eggs, bacon, juice and a little bit of coffee before hitting the road to head back home.
