Sports Illustrated prepared me to be the best wedding photographer because I had to deliver images FAST! I had to have practical workflows in place, editing nailed down to a “T”, and I had to know my camera like the back of my hand. Plus, I learned when and how to change settings to be able to shoot from one end of the football field to the next faster than Cam Newton could throw the ball!
What I learned the most though throughout my time as a photographer is the fact that this photography industry is really about all relationships and having a mentor to help you along the way! I can not wait to help support YOU in creating your own dream business!
Back in 2012 I tried my hand at wedding photography and found that it wasn’t the right fit for me and decided that I wasn’t going to be a wedding photographer. Next thing I knew, I landed a job as a photographer for Sports Illustrated less than 6 months after my college graduation! I ran up the streets of NYC to capture big news stories, and ran up and down the sidelines of NY Giants, Jets and even Panthers games.
After moving back to North Carolina in 2015 I worked to build my photography business and shot my second “first” wedding in 2016. Four years later, I felt more confident in myself and my ability to successfully manage hectic wedding days. Since transitioning into a wedding photographer, I have been able to grow my business to 25+ weddings and 100+ portraits sessions in less than 3 years - all while still working in corporate America.

I have two camera bags - my Kamrette Backpack and my Think Tank rolling suitcase. Both are amazing and have not done me wrong! My backpack can hold all my cords, all my gear PLUS my laptop, keys, phone etc. I can easily wear my cameras and carry my backpack around wherever I go. While my rolling suitcase holds my styling supplies and flashes that I will only use during smaller portions of a wedding day!
I have a few neutral colored silk ribbons, Mrs Boxes, a small reflector, some tulle, and a huge styling board so I have something sturdy and flat to do all the styling on!
