When we were planning Cheyenne’s bridal portraits, she had told me that she wanted to incorporate her grandmother’s wedding dress from the 50’s! I completely died over the idea and all the ideas came flooding in, so of course I agreed! She described it to me as a tee length, light blue dress with some lace detail. I knew it wasn’t a traditional wedding dress style but it meant something to her and her mom and the fact that she can fit in it was something extra special!

My family wanted me to fit into my grandmother’s wedding dress for my grandparent’s 50th anniversary dinner, we were similar in size, but I couldn’t so I was excited for Cheyenne and or the opportunity to photograph this moment and understood how sentimental it is for her family.

It’s also perfect for Cheyenne because her wedding colors are shades of blue! I’m so glad to have captured this for them and their family. We took the last 30 minutes of her bridal portrait session for her to change into this super cute dress and I was thrilled that for the first time can share some images from a bridal session. Of course you won’t see her real wedding dress until after her wedding on October 14th! Isn’t Cheyenne gorgeous?! She could have totally been raised up in the 50’s, this dress suits her so eloquently.
