It was a beautiful, fairly warm, day in early February for Nicole and Tony’s winter wedding. You don’t know what weather you’ll get during North Carolina winters, you just kind of hope for the best. So when the morning of February 2nd came around, it was in the mid 50’s and the sun was shining, I just knew it was going to be the most beautiful day at The Laboratory Mill!
Let’s flashback 7 years ago, when Nicole was in a blood bank giving blood and a tall dark and handsome worker caught her eye. She noticed him staring (because let’s be honest, she was too) and after catching eyes about 15 times he finally came over and started talking. Ironically, or if you believe in fate, Nicole had been donating blood for years and Tony had just recently started as a phlebotomist at this particular blood bank. After she left, he found her on Facebook and they started talking every day until they finally went out one night for drinks and they’ve been inseparable ever since!
Their engagement session ended with the best summer sunset! Part of the reason they chose Rankin Lake as their engagement session location is because Tony grew up in Gastonia. They now live a few counties over on the lake so it was super sentimental to back in their hometown at such a monumental time of their lives!
Their winter wedding was every bit beautiful, sweet and super fun! From the girls getting ready all together in the bridal sweet, the first look, short and sweet ceremony to dancing the night away. I could not have been more blessed to spend their day with them and capture the fun! Thank you Nicole and Tony for trusting in me! I wish you a happy marriage 🙂
